Activities to do while on a female safari

Game drives.

As female traveler you can engage in game drive to enjoy game viewing and this can be done in national parks of Uganda. Like Kidepo valley national park, Queen Elizabeth national park, Murchison falls national park and Lake Mburo national park. Expect to see mammals like zebras, elephants, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, bush bucks, kudus, antelopes and many money.

Volunteer opportunities.

You can engage in community volunteering projects that aim at empowering women.

Boat cruise.

Boat cruise in Uganda are done on different water bodies and these are rewarding in the way that you will be able to sight a number of aquatic indwellers like different fish species, crocodiles, hippos and some water birds.

Cycling.

There are women groups which arrange cycling and as a female traveler engaging in this activity you will be supporting fellow women.

Community encounters.

Community encounters will enable you visit different groups of people. And this will enable you know their ways of life and you may get a chance to explore the local cuisines prepared by fellow women and you will get to know how women from different cultures behave.

Gorilla trekking.

Gorilla trekking being the top activity to do in Uganda any female traveler wouldn’t wish to miss it. This involves delving in the lush tropical rainforests of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in search for these gentle giants in their natural habitat. When you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to enjoy them play. Feed and do whatever they want, you will have a chance to take photos and record them.

Bird watching.

As female traveler you may choose to do birding since Uganda has got over 10,000 bird species. And these are in different destinations like the Mabamba swamp, Queen Elizabeth national park, Budongo forest and many more. Get to see birds like shoebill stork, Abyssinian ground hornbill, swamp flycatcher, Rwenzori turaco, African fin foot and a lot more.

Adventure activities.

You may engage in activities like kayaking, bungee jumping, rafting, hiking this done as a solo traveler or as a group to add on your experience. All this is done in Jinja on river Nile.

  • Park all your essentials plus a camera, power bank and a spare battery.
  • Carry enough money and keep it safely.
  • First aid kit.
  • Keep your location on.

  • Ask for assistance where necessary
