8 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari Tour

This 8 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari Tour combines the best of Kenya and Tanzania’s wildlife and natural beauty. Offering an immersive experience in some of East Africa’s most iconic national parks and conservation areas.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist with immigration procedures and transfer you to your hotel. Check-in and rest, adjusting to the local time zone and preparing for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and embark on a scenic drive south towards Amboseli National Park. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, passing through rural Kenyan landscapes and offering glimpses of local life. Arrive at your lodge or camp in Amboseli in time for lunch with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Amboseli. Known for its large herds of elephants and variety of wildlife against the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Manyara National Park (Tanzania)

Rise early for a morning game drive in Amboseli to catch the sunrise and observe wildlife at their most active. After breakfast, check-out from your lodge and drive to the Namanga border, crossing into Tanzania. Complete border formalities and meet your Tanzanian driver-guide, continuing to Lake Manyara National Park, which is approximately 2-3 hours away. Enjoy lunch at your lodge or camp followed by an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife around the alkaline lake. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp near Lake Manyara.

Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Begin the day with another early morning game drive in Lake Manyara, exploring different habitats and wildlife species. Return to your lodge for breakfast and then depart for Serengeti National Park, a journey of approximately 4-5 hours. Stop at Olduvai Gorge for a brief historical tour (optional) before continuing to Serengeti for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in Serengeti, renowned for its expansive savannahs and annual wildebeest migration (seasonal highlight). Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp in Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti to witness predators on the hunt or herbivores starting their day. Return to your lodge for breakfast and then check-out, driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. Explore the crater’s unique ecosystem and encounter a high concentration of wildlife, including endangered black rhinos and large prides of lions. Dinner and overnight stay on the crater rim with panoramic views of the crater floor.

Day 6: Ngorongoro to Maasai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)

After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and drive to the Isebania border, crossing back into Kenya. Meet your Kenyan driver-guide and continue to Maasai Mara National Reserve, a journey of approximately 3-4 hours. Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Spend the afternoon on a game drive in Maasai Mara, known for its abundant wildlife and spectacular annual wildebeest migration (seasonal). Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara.

Day 7: Full Day in Maasai Mara

Enjoy a full day exploring Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives, maximizing opportunities to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) and other wildlife species. Picnic lunch in the park allows for uninterrupted wildlife viewing. Consider an optional visit to a Maasai village to learn about their rich culture and traditional way of life. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp in Maasai Mara.

Day 8: Maasai Mara to Nairobi

On your final day, embark on an early morning game drive in Maasai Mara to capture any last sightings of wildlife. Return to your lodge for breakfast and then check-out. Depart Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi, a journey of approximately 5-6 hours. En route, visit the Karen Blixen Museum or Giraffe Centre (optional) before continuing to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
